The first thing you need to know is that Cleanersoft Software renamed its Internet Privacy Eraser application. Privacy and Registry is the old name of the application; the new name is Free Privacy Eraser. So for the rest of this article we’ll just go with the new name – Free Privacy Eraser.
What sort of functionality does Free Privacy Eraser? Why to put it bluntly, this application will remove all traces you leave behind while using the computer and while browsing the web. The application will remove:
Windows items – like recent documents history, Run/Find history, temporary files, Paint history, memory dumps and much more.
Browser items – like cookies, cache, history, and so on.
Custom items - files, folders or registry entries that you select.
Free Privacy Eraser is very similar to another Cleanersoft Software-developed application, mainly ACleaner (formerly known as Privacy and Registry Cleaner). The difference is that ACleaner can also remove Windows Registry items (invalid or obsolete registry keys).
Just like ACleaner, Free Privacy Cleaner comes with a scheduler (clean on Windows startup/shutdown or at a specific interval of time), a secure delete feature (overwrites files with random characters for up to 10 times), and a boss key (hide all web browser windows with the press of a key).

Download – the download weighs in at around 1MB. This is good news; it means that the download will only take a moment to complete. Even on a lousy internet connection, it can’t take long for a 1MB download to complete.
Installation - Free Privacy Eraser works with all Windows versions. It works with the old but popular Windows XP, works with the much avoided Windows Vista, and works with the latest and greatest, Windows 7.
